The Commonwealth National Foundation

Our Mission

The Commonwealth National Foundation was formed in 1999 to establish a vehicle through which members of Commonwealth could collectively raise money for charity. The mission of the foundation has always been clear.

“Establish a vehicle through which members of Commonwealth could raise money and make contributions to local charities. It was our intention that the organizations we chose would be smaller in nature and therefore our grant would have a significant impact on that entity and its ability to deliver services to the community. The local part was equally important. We wanted to be able to see the impact of our donations.”

Since its inception, The Commonwealth National Foundation has donated over $1,100,000 to local charities on behalf of the members of our club.

The majority of our fundraising comes from our member solicitation and annual golf outing and auction. Our goal this year is 100% participation. All contributions are tax deductible and contributors will be recognized in our annual event publication. The Commonwealth National Foundation held it’s 23rd annual golf outing and auction on Thursday October 6, 2022. Over the years the Foundation made grants to the following charities: Special Equestrians, Gilda’s Club,  For Pete’s Sake, The Edward Taylor Coombs Foundation, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Montgomery County, The Parenting Center of Hatboro Horsham, Amy's Yard Sale, Kisses For Kyle, Horsham Neighbor's Association,  and OHAAT. Our 23rd annual golf outing and auction will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2023.
